BAPG Program Hosted Talks in June
On June 4 th , Dr. Hanna Samir Kassab from East Carolina University delivered a presentation on his
current project on nationalism and national identity. During his talk, Dr. Kassab presented how national
symbols and cuisine have a crucial impact on the rise of nationalistic senses of the conflicting nations.
On June 6 th , Jeffrey Hallock from American University of Washington, DC presented his research on anti-
corruption reforms by comparing more than 20 countries. The research focused on a number of factors
that could explain why some anti-corruption reforms sustain, while others fail.
