BAPG Student Argam Movsisyan Participates in Peace and Stability Study Visit in Washington D.C.

BAPG student Argam Movsisyan took part in the “Promoting Peace and Stability in South Caucasus” study visit, held in Washington, D.C., USA, from September 12 to 26, 2025. Organized by the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University, the two-week program brought together young participants from across the South Caucasus – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Abkhazia, and South Ossetia – representing diverse backgrounds and perspectives on regional conflicts.

Throughout the visit, participants attended lectures by distinguished professors, engaged in panel discussions and Q&A sessions with experts, and visited leading international organizations, NGOs, and government agencies working in the field of peacebuilding.

Argam shared that the experience helped him deepen his understanding of negotiation, communication, and narrative-building while also providing a platform for open dialogue and cultural exchange. One of the highlights of the visit was attending events during the Annual Peace Week at the Carter School, including a keynote address by Nobel Peace Laureate Dr. Ira Helfand.
