Hrach Arzumanyan (BAPG‘26)
I chose BAPG because I believe Armenia’s long-term security and prosperity depend on principled political leadership grounded in democratic values and strategic global engagement. My goal is to contribute to strengthening Armenia’s democratic institutions and international partnerships through public diplomacy, policy work, and youth leadership.
Currently, I serve as Associate Editor of The Highlander, where I help lead the magazine’s overall operations — shaping editorial strategy, overseeing content selection and issue planning, ensuring rigorous journalistic standards, and coordinating writers and contributors to maintain consistency and quality. Previously, as an intern at the Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy in Armenia, I supported grants management, media analysis, and high-level cultural diplomacy initiatives, contributing to programs that advanced U.S.- Armenia relations. As a Rebuild Ukraine Ambassador with the European Youth Parliament, I co-authored two international vision papers: the first on agricultural reconstruction (2023–2024) and the second on urbanization and smart city development (2024–2025). Beyond this, I actively participate in international projects, Erasmus+ training courses, and youth exchanges across Europe, serving as both a participant and an organizer and lecturer. Alongside my policy work, I teach mathematics internationally, fostering analytical thinking and intellectual discipline among students. I am also currently attending the National Democratic Institute’s Political Leadership Academy and am a graduate of the School of Liberal Politics.
My advice to future BAPG students: pursue depth, not visibility – credibility is built through sustained responsibility, not titles.
